SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping Policy ​

As we are a small business, we only ship twice a week, normally on a Monday and Thursday (depending on public holidays). ​

Shipping in the UK 

For deliveries within the UK, we charge a flat rate of £4.00 for Royal Mail Tracked 48 service, which aims to deliver in 2-3 business days. We offer free shipping on all physical orders of £30 or over. 

Shipping to Europe

For all deliveries to Europe, we charge a flat rate of £10.00 for Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed service. Parcels usually arrive in 3-5 business days. We offer free shipping on all physical orders of £40 or over. 

 

International Shipping

For all other international deliveries, we charge a flat rate of £13.00 for Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed service. Parcels usually arrive in 6-7 workings days. We offer free shipping on all physical orders of £50 or over. We do not ship Teff flour internationally. 

Please be aware that customs or import duties may be charged once a parcel reaches its destination. These charges must be paid by the recipient as we do not have any control over this. It is the customer’s duty to take full liability for all postal charges, return shipping costs, customs charges and handling fees should they refuse to accept a parcel due to import duties or taxes. As of 1 July 2021, European customers are liable for VAT in their country of residence on all goods purchased from abroad. VAT is not included in our prices. This means that you will likely be charged your local VAT rate by customs when you place an order on Amaarech. This change does not affect customers outside of the EU. 

Our Returns Policy

We understand that sometimes you may change your mind and want to return a product. Our return policy lasts 14 days. We will accept a return of your order within 14 days of the date of the order if returned in its original condition. We cannot accept a return if any seal on the product has been broken or damaged.

You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. When returning the order to us, please provide us with a tracking number and ensure you obtain a receipt and package ID for the return from the delivery company. In the very unlikely event that you receive faulty or damaged goods from us, please inform us immediately by emailing hello@ethiopianfoodie.co.uk and we will let you know how to proceed.
